Actress Tiffany Haddish has pleaded no contest to a reckless driving charge known as “wet reckless” as part of a plea deal, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s office. The charge is a reduced form of reckless driving involving the consumption of alcohol or drugs, following her arrest in November.

Haddish, known for her role in “Girls Trip,” was initially charged with two DUI offenses after falling asleep at the wheel while returning home from volunteering and performing at The Laugh Factory’s annual free Thanksgiving feast.

As part of the plea agreement, Haddish will serve a year of summary probation and is required to complete several programs, including a driver’s education course, the Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) Victim Impact Program, LA County’s Hospital and Morgue Program, and 40 hours of community service. She is also mandated to pay fines and fees.

In addition to this incident, Haddish was previously arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence in 2022 in Peachtree City, Georgia.

Following her arrest, Haddish expressed a commitment to addressing the issue. In an interview with “Entertainment Tonight” in November, she stated, “This will never happen again,” and mentioned plans to seek help to learn balance and boundaries. Haddish also praised the Beverly Hills Police Department for their professionalism during the incident.

CNN has reached out to Haddish’s representatives for further comment.
