The Senzo Meyiwa murder trial continues today at the Pretoria High Court, with the state’s lead investigator, Bongani Gininda, returning to the stand for further cross-examination.
Gininda, the state’s final witness, has consistently dismissed claims that Longwe Twala accidentally killed the soccer star. Instead, he maintains that all evidence points to accused number three, Mthobisi Mncube, as the individual responsible for Meyiwa’s death.
Meyiwa, a beloved soccer player, was fatally shot in 2014 during an alleged botched robbery at the Vosloorus home of his then-girlfriend, singer Kelly Khumalo.
The trial continues as the court seeks to uncover the full circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
