The South African Weather Service has issued severe weather alerts, forecasting isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers over the central and eastern regions of the country. Some areas in the east are expected to experience severe thunderstorms.
KwaZulu-Natal, in particular, is bracing for additional heavy rainfall, adding to the challenges the province has faced. Since December, intermittent rains have resulted in the loss of 12 lives across various areas of KwaZulu-Natal.
Authorities are urging residents to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to ensure safety as adverse weather conditions persist.
